Bang Bang - My Baby Shot Me Down (Cher, 1966)

Swing Easy Skatalites Eary Reggae version, featuring Rosa Smit

In 1966 Cher published this single, written by Sonny Bono, at those times her husband. The success of this amazing pop-hit was meant to last for many years to come, until today’s fame due to Tarantino’s Kill Bill where it’s a significant element of the soundtrack. Our version is built around the bassline of another stunning all-times Ska hit, Swing Easy, by The Skatalites. We like to play both songs afer each other when we perform live, so we decided to keep it like this in this video too. And this is how Kill Bill’s most famous track could have sounded like, if the movie was shot in Jamaica.
